"The show went along beautifully, and finally we
got to the last ten minutes and the chair. And, surprisingly, it all went
together perfectly. I was standing near the chair, and just as Fran was about
to finish in triumph, I saw that the spindles on the left side were beginning
to work out of the holes in the seat. I knew that if they once worked loose
everything would fall out of place and our demonstration would be a complete
bust--so I moved over very casually and leaned on that left arm. I could have
giggled for pure joy when I felt the arm slip back into place."
