Round top tables like this one were commonplace in late 18th century country inns, particularly along the Post Roads that connected Boston with cities down the Atlantic coast. Height 30". The square tapered legs on these finely made drop-leaf tables date them to the earliest years of the Federal period (1790-1820). Height 30". Width of top with leaves up 42", with leaves down 21 1/2". Available in 4', 5', and 6' lengths. Click photo for details.
